The Language Learning Center is a non-profit organization and is based in Dearborn, Michigan. It offers instruction in the Arabic language to students of all ages throughout the country. Head instructor Nicholas Fawaz teaches online Arabic courses, which allows students to earn college credit while they are in high school. Students can receive middle/high school credits online, as well as, offering them a chance to learn a new language and culture. Language Learning Center is the only organization in Michigan offering instruction online in the Arabic language.
Nicholas is a native Arabic speaker and has taught classes for more than 10 years. He has experience in developing a curriculum for online and on-site classes, and enjoys teaching his native language to others and sharing his culture with them. Currently, Nicholas teaches at Farmington Public Schools and Macomb Community College, as well as at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth.
In addition, he serves as an assistant to the Michigan Arabic Teachers' Council (MI-ATC) and is a proud member of the American Council on The Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Nicholas received his Bachelor's Degree in English, Arabic, and ESL (English as a Second Language), his Master's Degree in Special Education, and is currently working on his Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Wayne State University.
Language Learning Center's main goal is to help students acquire a new language. Language Learning Center empowers students to develop their self-confidence, increase their intellectual skills, meet new people, and make lifelong friendships.
